If you you have googled Riyadh lately, you would definitely find the meaning as flowers, gardens or such. But then in this panoramic shot of the capital, you would see a sprawling landscape of man-made architecture instead of flowers and shrubs that a garden would have.

Riyadh (Arabic: الرياض‎ Ar-Riyāḍ) is the capital of Saudi Arabia and its largest city. It is also the capital of Riyadh Province, and belongs to the historical regions of Nejd and Al-Yamama. It is situated in the center of the Arabian Peninsula on a large plateau, and is home to over 4,260,000^[1] people.
